COA CEO Rachel Tanny said she was delighted to welcome Wentworth MP Dave Sharma last week and share “some of the changes COA has implemented to remain COVIDSafe”.
“His support for COA has made an enormous impact,” she said, noting that a federal Stronger Communities grant had been crucial in upgrading storage facilities that were now helping to meet increased demand for COA’s food services.
She said the visit also provided an opportunity to discuss security upgrades made possible by federal funding and expressed gratitude for Sharma’s advocacy and support.
Sharma told The AJN, “COA does incredibly important work in keeping our community engaged and connected, especially at these difficult times.
“I am pleased the federal government has been able to support improved infrastructure to COA to allow them to do more good work in the community.”
