JBOD launches crowdfunding campaign
The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies is urging members of the community to give generously to support those impacted by the NSW bushfires.
AUSTRALIAN Jewry is being urged to dig deep to support victims of the catastrophic bushfires in NSW.
The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies (JBOD) has launched a crowdfunding appeal and is urging members of the community to “respond urgently and generously to support those impacted by these bushfires”.
“NSW is unfortunately prone to these natural disasters, and the NSW Jewish community is keen to do whatever it can in its modest way to assist those in need,” JBOD president Lesli Berger said.
More than $7000 of the $50,000 target has so far been raised by the appeal.
Funds raised will be distributed on advice from the NSW Premier’s office, and the campaign will conclude on Friday, December 6.
