Maccabi will host a free “Sport & Wellbeing in our Community” webinar via Zoom from 7.30pm on Sunday, May 24 featuring a high-profile guest panel.
The AJN is an official event supporter of the webinar, which will see senior AFL writer Ashley Browne take the role of facilitator.
He will interview Jewish sport stars Michael Klinger (Melbourne Renegades head coach and 2019 Maccabi Australia Sportsman of the Year), race walker Jemima Montag (a 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medal winner), and rhythmic gymnast Alexandra Kiroi-Bogatyreva (winner of two bronze medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games).
Dr Mark Kovacs (director of sports science at NBA club the Cleveland Cavaliers), leading expert on diabetes Professor Paul Zimmet, and sport and wellbeing psychologist Dr Mel Weinberg will also feature.
