MACCABI Hakoah Football Club had seven winning teams on the weekend, which all faced horrendous conditions to pick up the points in their matches.

All three senior women teams recorded victories, headlined by the All Age Women 3 (AAW3) that smashed Heffron Park 10-3.

Ella Werman was the standout with a superb hat-trick, while Gaby Rosenberg (two goals), Sammi Levene (two), Leigh Gordon (two) and Jodie Rosenberg (one) also found the back of the net in the whitewash.

At the other end, Lauren Klimt and Amy Meskin were resilient in defence and goalkeeper Ari Gold made several crucial saves.

The AAW4 side also enjoyed a convincing win, trouncing Uni of NSW 6-0 despite fielding only 11 players.

Dalia Bloom starred with five goals, but it was the outstanding team effort that saw it over the line.

It was also a blowout in the AAW2’s 4-0 victory over Uni of NSW, which saw goals to Carly Vinokur (two), Jenn Shkolnick and Georgie Cohen.

Meanwhile, the men’s teams were also on song in the wet weather, with the AA3 side picking up a tremendous 4-1 win over Barnstenworth, with Paul Meltz, Ilan Lavan, Rian Wolstein and Shaun Reichman all hitting the scoreboard.

Maccabi’s AA4 team had no trouble in a 4-1 demolition of Heffron Hawks, with Dave Petrini scoring twice and the other goals going to Gavin Chimes and Zac Zinman.

Both the Over-35’s and 45’s also recorded impressive victories.
