Sir Simon Schama is one of today’s pre-eminent historians. He will be in conversation with leading American historian Deborah Lipstadt, discussing the important role of history in shaping our current reality.

On April 20th at 7.30pm NIF Australia is hosting “Our History, Our Future” with Schama and Lipstadt in conversation with NIF global president and UCLA Jewish History Professor David Myers. They will look at how fake news, rising populism and renewed antisemitism challenge democracy and increase nationalism and racism in both a fractured Israel and a divided America. Register for this event at:

Schama’s latest book is a collection of 50 essays chosen by the man himself that stretches across four decades and is a treasure trove for all those who have a passion for the arts, politics, food and life.

The AJN has two copies of Wordy to give away.
